This seminar focused on four alternative assets: private equity, property, infrastructure and debt. These asset classes have grown in importance among institutional investors. They also make up nearly a third of investment companies’ assets under management.

The seminar focused on the reasons for investing in these asset classes alongside traditional equity/bond portfolios, and their ability to offer diversification and (in some cases) higher levels of income.

The event at the Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel was hosted by Nick Britton, Head of Intermediary Communications at the AIC. The presenters covering the four asset classes were Tanu Chita of Pantheon International, Pietro Nicholls of RM Secured Direct Lending, Philip Kent of GCP Infrastructure Investments, and Jason Baggaley of Standard Life Investments Property Income.
