Schroder European Real Estate Investment Trust plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Beddy as an independent non-executive director of the Company, with effect from 1 January 2024. Mr Beddy will also be a member of the audit, valuation and risk committee, nomination and remuneration committee and management engagement committee. Mr Beddy is expected to succeed Mr Jonathan Thompson as chair of the audit, valuation and risk committee following his retirement from the Board at the conclusion of the AGM in March 2024. The Board would like to thank Mr Thompson for his invaluable contribution as chair of the audit, valuation and risk committee and as a non-executive director since the Company's inception in 2015.

 

Mr Beddy is a Chartered Accountant and formerly a senior audit partner in Deloitte LLP, with wide-ranging audit and advisory experience of listed companies, focused on real estate investment, development and construction. He is a trustee of the British Council, where he is Chair of the Finance Committee and a member of the Audit & Risk Committee. He is a non-executive director of Portfolio REIT PLC and Chair of the Audit Committee. He is an independent member of the Finance Committee of the London Symphony Orchestra and Chair of its subsidiary LSO Productions Limited. He is a trustee of a private real estate portfolio and an independent member of the credit committee of a real estate income fund.

 

It is confirmed that there are no other details to be disclosed concerning Mr Beddy under Listing Rule 9.6.13 R.
