Appointment of Director

 

The Board of River and Mercantile UK Micro Cap Investment Company Limited ("RMMC") is pleased to announce that Robert "Ted" Holmes Jr. will join the Board of RMMC as a non-executive director with immediate effect.  

 

With a career in the financial services industry spanning over 30 years, Ted has a strong background in investment management. He has held leadership positions with UBS Asset Management in both the US and the UK and he serves on the board of the City of London Investment Trust. These roles have provided him with a deep understanding of the finance industry, investment strategies and effective corporate governance practices. 

 

Prior to joining UBS, Ted worked for Ernst & Young where he earned his Certified Public Accountant license. He has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst.

 

Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Chapman, Chairman of RMMC said, "I am delighted to welcome Ted Holmes to the Board. He brings with him a wealth of investment experience. Ted's appointment is part of the Board's succession planning that ensures the Company complies with the highest standards of corporate governance."

Board Succession Plan

 

The Board also announces that Andrew Chapman will retire from the Board of Directors at the Company's 2024 Annual General Meeting, in line with the Company's succession plan. John Blowers, who joined the Board in 2022, will be appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors upon Andrew's retirement.
