CT UK Capital and Income Investment Trust PLC ("the Company") announces that as part of an orderly succession plan, Tim Scholefield retired from the Board at the conclusion of today's Annual General Meeting.

 

Tim, who was the Company's Senior Independent Director, has served on the Board since November 2014. The Company has benefited immensely from Tim's knowledge and experience of the investment management industry.

 

The Board thanks Tim for his commitment and wise counsel throughout his period of appointment.

 

Following Tim's retirement, Nicky McCabe has become the Company's Senior Independent Director.

 

As previously announced, and as a further part of the Company's succession plan, Christopher Metcalfe will join the Board tomorrow.  Christopher is Chairman of Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc and the Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of JP Morgan US Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc. He has extensive equity fund management and investment trust experience having previously worked in senior positions at Newton Investment Management, Schroder Investment Management and Henderson Administration Group. 

 

The Board looks forward to working with Christopher and to the valuable insights that he will bring to the Board's deliberations.
