The Board of JPMorgan European Smaller Companies Trust plc (the 'Company') is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Watters as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1st July 2021.

She is a European equity portfolio manager specialist and has over 25 years' experience in portfolio management with expert knowledge of global equity markets. She is a passionate advocate of ESG and Sustainable Investing. Her recent roles include serving as the Head of Equities, UK, Europe and Emerging Markets at BP Investment Management Ltd.

 

Ms. Watters does not currently hold any shares in the Company.

 

There is no further information to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 R (2) to (6) for Ms. Watters.
