ESG disclosure on AIC website: request for contact details

The AIC is offering member companies the opportunity to publish their ESG policy on their dedicated ‘member profile’ page of the AIC website.

This is to cater for the growing interest from investors and the media in ESG issues.  It will allow members to set out their approach in an accessible way.  We hope that most members will choose to provide policies, but if member companies do not wish to participate then there will be no ‘ESG tab’ on their company page.

The submission process will involve providing the ESG policy via a dedicated and secure access webpage.  It is quick and simple to create an account if required and we will provide guidance on how to do this.  The ESG policy page can be updated at any time using the secure webpage.  We will also issue an annual prompt to ask members to review their entries and provide updates if required.

The disclosure will be freeform.  To help member companies prepare this information, the individual responsible for submitting the policy may wish to take a look at the AIC’s guide for preparers.

We are contacting you to ask for contact details of the individual (whether this is you or a colleague) who will submit the ESG policy for inclusion on the AIC website.  Please provide the relevant contact details for each AIC member where you act as company secretary.  These details will be used to invite that individual to provide the company’s ESG policy.

If the board of an AIC member company has decided not to provide an ESG policy, please let us know.  

Please submit the contact details to  [email protected]  by close of business 12 February 2021.  We intend to invite submissions later that month.  Our ambition is to launch the ESG information on the AIC website in Q2.
