Debra Henderson-Burton

Debra joined the AIC in March 2022.

As Company Secretary and Registered Officer, she is responsible for the governance framework that underpins the AIC’s Board, committees and forums, ensuring the highest standards of accountability, compliance and strategic oversight. Debra also serves as Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Richard Stone and Chair Sapna Shah, supporting the organisation’s executive leadership and Board.

Debra is responsible for all aspects of the AIC’s corporate governance and Board, committee and forum administration. Her role encompasses the full range of governance activities private sessions, Non-Executive Director appointments and inductions, the annual Board election process, the AGM and the execution and filing of the Annual Report and Accounts. She oversees resolutions, proxy voting, statutory compliance, Companies House filings and governance across the AIC and its subsidiary companies, ensuring effective and well managed governance at every level.
