12 workshops for advisers in April and May across the UK.
Ever wondered what the differences are between open-ended funds and investment companies, and what these mean for investors? Or what role investment companies can play in financial planning? Over the next four weeks, the Association of Investment Companies (AIC) is travelling across the UK to meet advisers and provide free training on investment companies in its latest series of workshops.
Led by Nick Britton, the AIC’s Head of Training, the workshops are aimed at financial advisers and wealth managers interested in gaining a good grounding in the main features of investment companies or those who’d like to refresh their knowledge. Designed as structured CPD and accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), Personal Finance Society (PFS) and Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), the workshops will cover:
- The differences between investment companies and open-ended funds
- The main functions of investment companies in financial planning
- How to analyse investment companies and incorporate them in client portfolios
