Portfolio Update
The Company is pleased to announce that one of its private equity investments has successfully completed a further funding round.
This funding round implies an uplift in the value of the investment of approximately £2.5 million compared to the carrying value of the Company's investment, which is currently held at cost.
The Company produces a daily unaudited NAV calculation, revaluing its public asset holdings on a daily basis. The private asset valuations are revalued quarterly post period end and are currently held at their respective investment costs. The NAV per ordinary share, incorporating valuation of the private assets as at 31 March 2021, is expected to be announced in May 2021.
It is anticipated that this funding round will lead to a gross increase in the NAV per ordinary share as at 31 March 2021 of approximately 3.3 pence (calculated on the basis that the valuation from the latest funding round is used to revalue the Company's investment). As previously announced, the Company's NAV (cum income) per ordinary share as at 31 March 2021, based on the valuation of the Company's public assets as at close of business on 31 March 2021 and the valuation of the Company's private assets at cost, was 102.16 pence. As at 23 April 2021, again prior to any revaluation of the Company's private assets, the Company's NAV (cum income) per ordinary share was 106.09 pence.
The details of this funding round currently remain confidential and a further update will be made by the Company in due course.
