Compliance with US Executive Order 13959

 

In November 2020 the United States government issued Executive Order 13959, which prohibits U.S. persons from engaging in any transaction in publicly traded securities in Communist Chinese military companies ("CCMCs"), as well as certain related securities, which became effective on 11 January 2021. The Fund can confirm that, as of 11 January 2021, it holds none of the 35 companies identified as CCMCs.  Genesis Investment Management, LLP, the Fund's Investment Manager, will take all necessary steps to continue to comply with the Executive Order. The Board and Investment Manager are closely monitoring this matter as facts and circumstances evolve.
