In conformity with Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1.R we would like to notify the market of the following:

Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon PLC's capital consisted of 298,992,485 ordinary shares with voting rights as at 31 December 2020, prior to the issuance of 175,000 ordinary shares on 04 January 2021.  Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon PLC holds no ordinary shares in Treasury.

The amended figure (299,167,485) after the issuance on 04 January 2021 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon PLC under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
