The Association of Investment Companies (AIC) has announced the winners of the AIC Media Awards 2025.
The awards recognise the journalists who have best educated private investors and financial advisers about investment trusts. They are voted for by AIC members, their managers, brokers and analysts.
The winners are:
- Best National Journalist: Jeff Prestridge, Associated Newspapers
- Best Trade Journalist: David Thorpe, FT Adviser
- Best Financial Consumer Journalist: James Crux, Shares
- Best Online Journalist: Kyle Caldwell, interactive investor
- Best Online Commentator: John Stepek, Bloomberg
- Best Freelance Journalist: Cherry Reynard
- Best Scottish Journalist: Ian McConnell, The Herald
- Best Broadcast Journalist: Jonathan Davis, Money Makers
- Best VCT Journalist: Tara O’Connor, FT Adviser
- Best Use of Social Media: Gavin Lumsden
- Helen Pridham Rising Star Award1: Linus Uhlig, Investment Week
