More than 300 people achieve Investment Company Accreditation
Testimonials from users can be found below.

A total of 304 people have now completed the Investment Company Accreditation, a training programme for financial advisers, financial planners and paraplanners offered by the Association of Investment Companies (AIC).
The three-hour programme is split into four interactive e-learning courses, which users can complete when they want. It covers the structure and features of investment companies (investment trusts), including discounts and premiums, gearing and the unique income features of the structure. The programme is free and is designed as structured CPD, with accreditation from the CII and CISI1.
I would definitely recommend the AIC’s Investment Company Accreditation to any finance professionals looking to find out about investment companies or evidence their existing experience. I encounter investment companies frequently so it was useful to learn more about some of their specific features and advantages.

Martin Guilbert, Investment Director at Silverwood Wealth Management, also completed the programme in April. He said: “Completing the Investment Company Accreditation enhanced the way I analyse closed-ended funds and strengthened the process by which we select funds. I would recommend the programme to any adviser seeking a clear, practical framework for evaluating listed investment companies.”
Nick Britton, Research Director of the Association of Investment Companies (AIC), said: “It’s good to see more investment professionals complete the Investment Company Accreditation, which has been designed to break down barriers to the wider use of investment companies. We want the training to be as practical and helpful as possible, and it’s encouraging that 89% of users say it has given them more confidence in recommending investment companies.”
