About this table

If a field in the above table contains "N/A" the data is either not calculated, available or applicable. Averages are for the whole investment company industry, not just AIC Member companies.

The information in this table is an indication of the overall average and should only be used in the context of an initial assessment as each company within these regions will be unique. The average figures shown in the table are weighted and based on those companies within the whole investment company sector which have the same criteria, and not only the AIC member companies. Averages are not calculated where there are less than 3 companies in the region.

TERs in this table are calculated by Lipper, a Thomson Reuters Company, and exclude performance fees. A gross gearing figure of 100 means there is no gearing. Please see the glossary for more information on share price total return, TERsgearing, dividend growth and dividend yield.

You should be aware of the risks associated with equity investments. Actual results and developments may be materially different from past performance and from any forecast, opinion or expectation expressed on this website. Past performance must not be relied on as a guide to future performance. Market and currency movements may cause the value of investments and the income from them to fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you invested when you decide to sell your investments.

If you don't understand the information provided in this table, you should seek advice from a financial adviser.
